Product Profile

Two cultures and two different winemaking styles and one goal in common have brought together the French oenologist and consultant Michel Rolland and the
Spanish wine visionary Javier Galarreta. They both believe that Spain has an excellent terroir and extensive experience to produce high quality wines with a real projection in the international markets.

Michel Rolland, one of the most famous winemakers
influential people in the world, has worked with winemakers from 13 countries different and has exerted a great influence on numerous aspects of
the French and global wine industry.

Since the creation of ARAEX Grands in 1993, Javier Galarreta has applied his experience in management and strategy to place Spanish wine among the best. The company, which expanded in 2001 to add a further range wide range of Spanish wines to the Rioja catalogue, it is one of the main exporters of Spain. An innovative project: the meeting between France and Spain.

Winemaking

100% Verdejo from old vineyards, from the high and rocky part of La Seca (town), specifically 2 specific vineyard plots - plots #22 and #66. The must is cold macerated with the skins for eight hours at 7º C, enhancing the characteristic aromas of Verdejo. Fermentation takes place at 14-16ºC, which helps to maintain and intensify the unique flavour of the variety.

Between 5% and 10% (depending on the vintage) of the wine is aged on the lees in new French oak for a couple of weeks to gain structure and intensity.

Tasting Note

A fresh nose with subtle tropical aromas. With floral touches, fruits such as melon, mineral nuances and great intensity.

Round in the mouth, with a predominance of tropical fruits and citrus notes.
