Product Profile
The domaine was created in the 1980s in Sancerre before it expanded with the acquisition of Domaine de Montbenoit in the Coteaux du Giennois. After travelling the world, the next generation has now returned to the family’s terroirs.
Clément, who has worked as a cellar master in the USA, is now responsible for vinification and sales at the domaine. Florian, building on his experience gained in Burgundy and New Zealand, is now in charge of the work in the vineyards
Winemaking
As soon as they arrive in the winery, the harvested grapes are delicately pressed and the juice obtained is allowed to settle for around 36 hours. The alcoholic fermentation starts naturally at a controlled of the temperature (15-18°C). The wine is then matured for a few months on its fine lees until the bottling is carried out in the spring.
Tasting Note
Lime, gooseberry and zesty nose. An elegant palate, not too intense, showing the restraint of Loire wines
