Who makes it?

The domaine was created in the 1980s in Sancerre before it expanded with the acquisition of Domaine de Montbenoit in the Coteaux du Giennois. After travelling the world, the next generation has now returned to the family’s terroirs.

Clément, who has worked as a cellar master in the USA, is now responsible for vinification and sales at the domaine. Florian, building on his experience gained in Burgundy and New Zealand, is now in charge of the work in the vineyards

How is it made?

100% Melon de Bourgogne

Strictly regulated, ‘sur lie’ requires the wine to be kept on the lees and bottled between March and November of the year following the harvest, a practice inherited from the tradition of the ‘wedding barrel’ kept over the winter. The lees contact helps to balance the high-acid verve of Melon as malolactic conversion is historically prevented in the large, underground concrete tanks commonly used.

What does it taste like?

The nose reveals aromas of white flowers mixed with mineral notes of flint, which gradually unfold over hints of jasmine and citrus zest.

On the palate, the attack is supple, bringing an invigorating freshness enhanced by a hint of minerality.

The finish is long and round
