Product Profile
Founded in 1940, this winery began as a small
vineyard plantation in the town of Noblejas, south of Madrid, in what is currently the largest wine region in the world: La Mancha. The region offers ideal climatic conditions and soils with unique characteristics that produce concentrated wines and extraordinary aromatics.
Viñedos y Bodegas Muñoz has become a major force in the markets international wines. Today, the third generation of the family, headed by Bienvenido Muñoz Pollo, is deeply involved in the production of the quality wines.
Winemaking
100% old vineyard chardonnay.
After the harvest, the grapes are taken to the winery, where they are destemmed and lightly crushed to obtain only the best quality must. Subsequently, it is macerated with the skins at 10 ºC for 10 hours to extract the maximum aroma. The final must is fermented at 20ºC in new American oak barrels and 10% French oak and is stirred periodically to keep the lees suspended.
After fermentation, the wine is aged in new American oak and some French oak for 8 months.
Tasting Note
Pleasant fruit aroma with notes of toasted wood, vanilla and butter. Slightly smoky notes and floral touches.
