Who makes it?
How is it made?

Our botanicals are carefully weighed out and peeled fresh for every distillation of our Traditional Irish Gin. While our Irish Gin has a classic juniper taste, we use unwaxed oranges as our main citrus botanical which results in a gin truly to be savoured.

Our expert distillers soak the 12 botanicals we select for our gin in alcohol for 16-24 hours. We then transfer to the pot of our 300L copper column still and add additional orange slices and botanicals. Then we begin the distillation process.

Once we’ve distilled the pure gin, we add water to bring it down to 45% ABV and rest it for 2 weeks before hand bottling and labelling.

Winning an OUTSTANDING GOLD award with 99 points out of 100, Copeland Traditional Irish Gin was also awarded the BEST CONTEMPORARY GIN TROPHY at the International Wine & Spirits Competition 2022, the first Irish gin to ever be awarded the trophy. Outstanding Gold is awarded by IWSC judges to “an outstanding spirit with a naturally exceptional balance, complexity and power. An example that immediately sets itself apart from others in the category”.

What does it taste like?

Aromatic and elegant nose with notes of fresh pine and florals, leading to sweet berry and botanical flavours. Ribbons of spice and juniper weave throughout the palate, and the finish has a refreshing bitter kick which draws you back for a second sip. Wonderfully balanced.
