Who makes it?

Domaine Fond Croze began the day after the
end of the First World War in 1918 when Charles Long started cultivating vines in Saint Roman de Malegarde on Southern Rhône. Today, Charles’ grandsons, Daniel
and Bruno, are in charge with Daniel concentrating on the vineyards and Bruno looking after the winemaking.

The winery now tends to over 80ha of vines
which have been converted to organic farming since 2009.

How is it made?

This wine comes from our 6 hectare vineyard on the sunny slopes of the Rasteau appellation. A blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre, the grapes are harvested by hand and fermented for 1 month in stainless steel.

The wine then ages in 500l French oak barrels for one year.

What does it taste like?

This wine has an intense red color with black reflections. Its very delicate nose develops notes of stewed black fruits with a touch of vanilla. On the palate, it is round, suave, ample with aromas of dark fruits, chocolate and passion fruit.
