Who makes it?

“La Spia” was born among the terraced vineyards of Valtellina, a name linked to the rocky ridge of the same name. Located in the Sassella DOCG sub-area, a sighting and control post dating back to Grisons domination. In 1962 the property passed to the Rigamonti family who assigned it to vineyard cultivation, Nebbiolo variety, Chiavennasca biotype.
Today the spy works on 4.5 hectares spread throughout the Valtellina area, producing over 25,000 bottles a year.

How is it made?

The grapes are left to dry for a few days before a long maceration on the skins in stainless steel tanks, followed by 28 months of aging in 10 HL oak barrels

What does it taste like?

Very pleasant and elegant aroma of small red
fruits and mountain plums, with tertiary aromas of aging
