Product Profile

Tenuta Ulisse, a modern expression of a centuries-old tradition of passion and dedication to the land, is one of Abruzzo’s premier winemaking estate. It has aggressively dived into the enormous potential of Abruzzo’s unique terroir and ancient varieties by placing a contemporary spin on indigenous grapes such as Montepulciano D’Abruzzo, Trebbiano D’Abruzzo, Pecorino, Passerina e Cococciola.

Pinot Grigio is one of Italy’s most prominent and most noble white wines. In the
climate of Abruzzo, the Pinot Grigio can develop its great aroma, powerful
structure and its typical character and charm

Winemaking

Part of the grapes have been rigorously harvested
after a slight over-ripening of the plant, 15/20 days maceration, thermo-controlled alcoholic fermentation at 24-26°C. Ageing is for 9-12 months in French and American barrique

Tasting Note

Ruby red with garnet reflections, intense and persistent fragrance; the bouquet is intense, fruity, persistent, with notes of dried flowers, spice, liquorice, marasca cherries.

The palate is stylish, velvety, almost creamy, compact with tannic structure that blends nicely with the alcoholic component. Great structure, complex, elegant, well balanced with a long aftertaste.
