Product Profile

Château Bel Air Eiffel boasts a rich history deeply connected to a world-renowned legacy. For over a century, the estate has been under the ownership of the descendants of Gustave Eiffel, the visionary engineer behind the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris. Situated within the Graves de Vayres appellation, a distinguished, albeit small, area of Bordeaux, the winery's historical ties add a unique layer of prestige and narrative to the wine

Winemaking

The 40-acre estate is ideally located on the prime gravel soils characteristic of the Graves de Vayres appellation, positioned between the city of Bordeaux and the esteemed Saint-Emilion region. The vineyards are planted with a classic Bordeaux blend of grapes, specifically Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winemaking process for this particular wine involves a blend composed of 80% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes a 12-month maturation period in oak barrels, with one-third of the barrels being renewed with each vintage to impart desirable complexity and structure.

Tasting Note

This Château Bel Air Eiffel wine presents a compelling sensory profile. On the nose, it offers attractive aromas of dark fruits intertwined with nuanced notes of spices and cocoa. The palate is characterised by a round and full texture, supported by the notable presence of tannins that provide structure and depth. The tasting experience culminates in a lengthy finish, where lingering flavours of cherries and redcurrants beautifully express the fruit profile of the wine.
