Who makes it?

Since 1936, the story of Château Minuty has been one of family passion and an unwavering commitment to the terroir of Côtes de Provence. Founded by Gabriel Farnet and later transformed by the Matton family, this esteemed estate has spent nearly a century perfecting the art of artisanal winemaking. As one of only 23 properties recognized as a Cru Classé (Classified Growth) since 1955, Minuty has led the global revolution in premium rosé. Now in its fourth generation of family leadership and recently joining the prestigious LVMH collection, the house continues to blend deep-rooted tradition with a modern, innovative vision that has made its iconic "corset flute" bottles a symbol of French Riviera elegance in over 100 countries.

How is it made?

The Château Minuty 281 represents the absolute crown jewel of the vineyard’s production, named after the intense blue Pantone 281 color that adorns the bottle’s neck—a tribute to the Mediterranean Sea that influences the estate's climate. The wine is sourced from a rigorous plot selection of the winery's three primary terroirs: schist, clay, and sand. Central to this cuvée is a unique clone of Grenache, meticulously cultivated since the 1970s, blended with a touch of Syrah. To ensure the highest quality, the grapes are hand-picked and the estate utilizes HEV (High Environmental Value) certification practices. The winemaking process focuses on "free-run juice" and low-temperature fermentation to preserve the delicate aromatics and vibrant freshness that define the Minuty signature.

What does it taste like?

On the palate, the 2024 Château Minuty 281 is a masterclass in balance, offering a profile that is simultaneously delicate, indulgent, and bold. The nose opens with great finesse, revealing subtle layers of citrus and exotic fruits accented by a soft floral touch. Upon tasting, the wine is structured and vibrant, showcasing tangy notes and a remarkable salinity that speaks directly to its coastal provenance. This AOP Côtes de Provence rosé offers an exceptional length on the finish, making it an ideal partner for haute-cuisine. Whether paired with roasted lobster, spicy Peking duck, or a sophisticated scallop risotto, it provides a luxury tasting experience that captures the true essence of the Saint-Tropez lifestyle.
