Who makes it?

Located just across the Gironde River from the famous Medoc region, Chateau Peyronat is part of the Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux appellation, an area known for its rich winemaking heritage. The estate spans 14 hectares and has recently been certified organic, reflecting Pascal and Isabelle Montaut’s commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly viticulture. Their wines are crafted with respect for the land, ensuring that each bottle delivers the purest expression of the terroir.

How is it made?

This wine thrives on clayey-calcareous soils, offering a perfect balance of power and elegance.
Grape Varieties: A classic Bordeaux blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Organic Farming: Our certified organic vineyard spans 14 hectares, managed with eco-friendly practices and a deep respect for nature.
Harvest & Vinification: Every cluster is hand-picked by a dedicated team of 20 and undergoes rigorous manual sorting. To highlight the authentic terroir, the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks, resulting in a vibrant, unoaked profile.

What does it taste like?

This medium-bodied wine is round and smooth, with a balanced structure that leads to a clean, satisfying finish. The ripe fruit flavours continue to develop on the palate, making this wine both approachable and enjoyable.
