Who makes it?

The Díaz Bayo family has been cultivating vines for four generations in the legendary village of Fuentelcesped. They produce unique wines made from Tempranillo grapes, known locally as Tinto Fino, as well as experimenting with indigenous varieties such as Albillo.

How is it made?

The 100% Tempranillo grapes come from El Monte, Valdebrero, La Viñota estate vineyardsbetween 2950 – 3020ft in altitude. Vines were planted 1960 – 1995 in clayey-calcareous limestone soils.

Grapes are hand harvested and fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. Aged 8 months in used French and American oak barrels and 6 months in bottle.

What does it taste like?

Aromatic herbs and red fruit aromas with light toast notes. Bright fruit takes over the generous palate with subtle oak hints on the finish
