Who makes it?

Nestled in the heart of Oregon wine country, the Willamette Valley isn’t just a location; it’s a living tapestry of rolling vineyard slopes, volcanic soils, and cool marine winds that whisper sweet nothings to the vines. It’s here that Greenwing was born—a label anchored by the deep expertise of emerging winemaking star Joseph Czarny. Greenwing celebrates the untamed beauty of the Pacific Northwest, a spirit captured perfectly on the bottle by renowned New York artist Nicolas V. Sanchez, who illustrated the label's signature feather from an indigenous green-winged teal duck. If you’ve been searching for high-quality Pacific Northwest wines with a pedigree that commands respect (and a label that looks phenomenal on your dining table), this winery’s inaugural release is history in a bottle.

How is it made?

Creating a standout Oregon Pinot Noir requires a delicate dance with Mother Nature, and the 2024 vintage happily obliged with near-ideal growing conditions. A beautifully wet winter gave way to a steady summer, allowing the grapes to take their sweet time ripening without the drama of extreme weather. Hand-harvested during a patient, unhurried picking window, these 100% Pinot Noir grapes perfectly capture the finesse and vibrant acidity that put Willamette Valley wine on the global map. To elevate the liquid alchemy, winemaker Joseph Czarny aged the wine for 10 months in French oak barrels (30% new French oak), adding structural sophistication and a kiss of spice while keeping the alcohol at a perfectly balanced 13.9%.

What does it taste like?

This expressive Willamette Valley Pinot Noir leaps from the glass with vibrant aromas of dark cherry and spiced cranberry, beautifully layered with sophisticated earthy undertones, warm baking spice, and a subtle trace of cinnamon. On the palate, it’s all elegance—shaped by silky tannins, a luxurious medium weight, and a crisp, fresh acidity that brings undeniable focus to every sip. Just when you think it can’t get any better, a lingering note of ripe raspberry gently rounds out the finish, leaving you with a wine that pairs brilliantly with everything from wild salmon to high-end weeknight takeout.
