Who makes it?

Since 1831, Maison Albert Bichot has been proving that while you can’t choose your family, you can certainly choose their vineyards. Established in Beaune by Bernard Bichot, this iconic estate has evolved from a family passion project into a global powerhouse of high-end French wine. Today, the charismatic Albéric Bichot—who has been steering the ship since the mid-90s—has revitalized the brand by focusing on a prestigious collection of domaines. From the crisp hills of Chablis at Long-Depaquit to the regal soils of the Côte de Beaune, the Maison balances centuries of tradition with a modern, sustainable edge. Whether it’s an estate-grown masterpiece or a carefully sourced négociant gem, every bottle carries the weight of six generations of Burgundian expertise

How is it made?

When it comes to crafting this premium Chardonnay, Technical Director Alain Serveau doesn't believe in shortcuts or chemical crutches. Under the watchful eye of vineyard manager Christophe Chavel, the soil is ploughed and kept fertilizer-free, ensuring the grapes are as pampered as a spa guest. This specific cuvée is a masterclass in terroir-hunting, blending Chardonnay grapes from four distinct plots around Limoux. These parcels are vinified using natural yeasts in custom-sized wooden vats, allowing the unique personality of each plot to shine.

What does it taste like?

The nose is an aromatic flirtation, offering a bouquet of white flowers and citrus zest followed by cheeky whispers of ripe peach and toasted hazelnut. On the palate, this wine really finds its groove; expect a vibrant zip of grapefruit and fresh almonds that transitions seamlessly into a silky, sophisticated finish. Hints of lily and a delicate touch of vanilla linger long after the glass is empty, making this the ultimate choice for those who want their white wine to have both opulence and a focused, zesty backbone.
