Who makes it?

Nativ Srl, was born in the heart of Irpinia, in Southern Italy, by oenoligist Dr. Mario Ercolino and  food scientist Dr. Roberta Pirone. Their aim was to work closely with growers to create excellent expressions of the local
wines.

The name Nativ was chosen to illustrate thisdedication to local specialisms.

Founded in 2008, the company makes the typical wines of Southern Italy including Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo, Falanghina, Aglianico and Aglianico of Taurasi. They have a range of owned vineyards but also work with local growers to make sure grape quality is high.

How is it made?

The 100% aglianico grapes come from Campania wine region and grown on a combination of volcanic and clay/limestone soils. The grapes are crushed and macerate for 20 days before fermentation to extract colour.

Fermentation is in stainless steel
and the wine ages in tank and bottle before release.

What does it taste like?

Look for ripe dark fruits, spiced plum, dark cherry, blackberry and dark chocolate flavours with those velvety smooth tannins!
