Who makes it?

Tenuta Ulisse, a modern expression of a centuries-old tradition of passion and dedication to the land, is one of Abruzzo’s premier winemaking estate. It has aggressively dived into the enormous potential of Abruzzo’s unique terroir and ancient varieties by placing a contemporary spin on indigenous grapes such as Montepulciano D’Abruzzo, Trebbiano D’Abruzzo, Pecorino, Passerina e Cococciola.

Pinot Grigio is one of Italy’s most prominent and most noble white wines. In the
climate of Abruzzo, the Pinot Grigio can develop its great aroma, powerful
structure and its typical character and charm.

How is it made?

Pecorino grapes come from 40 year old vines that are hand harvested.

Fermentation is with wild yeasts in cement tanks. The wine ages in cement tanks and for 3 months in bottle before release.

What does it taste like?

The aroma and palate are arresting, complex expressions that defy description or conversely, invite a myriad of words that can never quite get at everything that’s going on. The end result is an amazingly complex and profound wine that can age for years. Bouquet of baking spice, baked apple, sweet citrus, full-bodied wine with a slightly rich, creamy mouth-feel and acidity
