How is it made?
The creation of the iconic Ornellaia 2021 'La Generosità' Bolgheri DOC Superiore Rosso reads less like standard agriculture and more like a five-star spa retreat for fruit. Grown in the complex, ancient soils of coastal Tuscany, the grapes enjoyed a flawless 2021 growing season of mild winter rains and an uninterrupted, sun-drenched summer. This elite blend—consisting of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Petit Verdot—was meticulously hand-harvested in September into tiny crates before facing a brutal, two-stage manual and optical sorting table.
