Who makes it?

Paraduxx was created to allow the Duckhorn Vineyards' winemakers the freedom to explore other styles without detracting from the winery's focus on Bordeaux varietals. In 1994, Paraduxx sourced 4 tons of Zinfandel from the 100-year-old vines of Napa's Korte Vineyard and blended it with Duckhorn Vineyards' own estate Cabernet Sauvignon, along with smaller amounts of Merlot and Petite Sirah, creating the first Paraduxx vintage.

How is it made?

Blend Composition: 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Zinfandel, 13% Malbec, 10% Merlot, 6% Syrah, 5% Petite Sirah

Ageing is for 16 months in 40% new oak.

What does it taste like?

Aromas of spiced blueberry, blackberry, licorice and lavender, as well as hints of flint and sandalwood. The luxurious dark berry layers are echoed on the palate, where they are framed by robust tannins, with notions of black cherry, cocoa, lilac and anise emerging throughout a long, mouth-filling finish.
