Who makes it?
A rich heritage of whiskey-making and entrepreneurship runs in the Teeling family, a tradition that dates back to 1782 when Walter Teeling opened a craft distillery in Dublin. In 2015, two of his descendants, Jack and Stephen Teeling, honored this legacy by opening the Teeling Whiskey Distillery, the city's first new distillery in over 125 years. This modern distillery is located just a stone’s throw from the original family business, bringing the Teeling's story full circle.
The Teeling Whiskey Distillery is situated in the historic Golden Triangle, an area of Dublin once at the heart of the city's whiskey production. The team here is known for their innovative and unconventional approach to whiskey making. They believe in letting the liquid speak for itself, and their award-winning spirits have plenty to say.
Teeling Whiskey uses the delicate base of traditional Irish whiskey as a canvas, layering on new flavors and character during maturation. By varying the type, number, and time spent in barrels, they achieve a unique complexity and subtlety that sets their whiskey apart. With their own Dublin-distilled spirit now coming of age, the possibilities for future creations are endless.
To preserve the richness and character of their whiskey, the distillery never chill-filters before bottling. This process allows the full body and flavor to remain intact. By bottling at their signature 46% ABV, they ensure every bottle of Teeling Whiskey maintains its true, natural character.
Awards & Recognition
Since opening its doors in 2015, the Teeling Whiskey Distillery has received over 20 awards, including “Best Visit in Ireland” at the 2019 CIE Awards and “Sustainable Distillery of the Year” at the 2022 Icons of Whisky Awards. The distillery's fully guided tours offer visitors an immersive experience, showcasing the complete whiskey-making process from start to finish.
How is it made?

This edition initially maturation in bourbon casks before finishing its 15-year maturation with a year in Sauvignon Blanc wine casks. Bottled at a bold 50% ABV, without chill filtration.
