Who makes it?

Tenuta Ulisse represents the vibrant heart of the Abruzzo wine renaissance. Founded on the visionary intuition of Don Antonio Ulisse, this family-run estate has evolved from a grandfather’s first vinification in the mid-20th century into a dynamic leader of contemporary Italian winemaking. Since its official commercial debut in 2006, the winery has been driven by a tenacious spirit and a refusal to settle for the status quo. By blending a deep-seated respect for historical grape varieties with a passion for modern experimentation, Tenuta Ulisse has successfully transformed from a local dream into a global success, producing millions of bottles that honor their regional roots while embracing the future.

How is it made?

The production of Tenuta Ulisse wines is defined by "constant evolution" and a commitment to capturing the pure essence of the grape. To create their signature contemporary style, the estate utilizes a sophisticated winemaking process centered around advanced cooling technology. The Trebbiano grapes are processed through an exclusive cooling tunnel for immediate temperature reduction and cold skin maceration. This is followed by soft crushing in an inert environment and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at strictly controlled temperatures. This meticulous "cold tech" approach ensures that every organoleptic sensation of the Abruzzo terroir is transferred directly from the vine to the glass, preserving the vibrant integrity of the fruit.

What does it taste like?

This Trebbiano D’Abruzzo DOP is a masterful expression of one of Italy’s most iconic white grape varieties. In the glass, it displays a brilliant straw-yellow hue accented by golden highlights and greenish reflections. The nose is greeted by an inviting bouquet of tropical fruits, specifically yellow peach and medlar, leading into a palate that is both full and persuasive. Characterized by a distinct minerality and a long-lasting finish, it offers fresh flavors of papaya and stone fruit. To fully appreciate its crisp profile, serve this wine at 8–10°C alongside grilled shellfish, creamy risottos, or white meat dishes. It also serves as an elegant companion to semi-mature cheeses and delicate fish appetizers.
